ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and standards
- Recommend, implement and monitor accounting procedures and controls
- Review and advise Management on business operations regarding revenue and expenditure trends and financial commitments
- Coordinate annual audit process
- Ensure that financial records are properly maintained
- Investigate, reconcile and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory bodies and advise Management on necessary actions
- Prepare budgets and variance reports between actual and budgeted results
- Coordinate and guide the activities of subordinates
Requirements:
- Accounting degree / Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience
- Deadlines oriented and good time management
- Excellent written, verbal and reporting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team
